Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how InkLab (“InkLab”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information you provide when using our service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to fulfill your order:

  • Name (first and last)
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Book details: title, topic, expertise, target audience, chapter structure, source material, and any content you provide for the manuscript
  • Payment reference / UTR numbers (we do not store card details — payment is processed via direct bank transfer or UPI)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for order fulfillment: producing your manuscript, communicating with you about your order, sending sample chapters, providing dashboard access, and verifying payment. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the service you have engaged us for.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party. Limited service providers (such as email delivery via Resend and AI processing infrastructure) may process your data strictly to perform the service on our behalf, under confidentiality and data-processing terms.

4. Data Retention

We retain order and project data for up to 2 years from the date of delivery, after which it is deleted unless a longer period is required by law (for example, accounting or tax records).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email studio@inklabwrite.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted database storage, HTTPS transport, and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we will notify you promptly of any material breach affecting your data.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective version is the version published on this page.
